It is well known that Jimmy Page used the song "Babe I'm gonna leave you"without addressing any royalties to its California songwriter by crediting the song as "traditional, arr. by Jimmy Page". I have not heard of any suit being filed by the song writer, they may be deceased. Stealing songs kind of tarnishes the Page legacy in my estimation. 'Traditional' is generally defined as a well known song popularized by many artists over many years, the writers identity having gone unrecorded. Page also used old english folk songs credited the same way which do fall under the definition, 'Hangman' may be one.

It was an accident. Jimmy Page spent most of his life dazed and confused.
