I dunno Stang man, I am like the George Harrison of the forum I am a great rhythm player not a lead man. But...... when I want I can rip out the solo from just about any Pink Floyd song.

Wasn't there a time when you could not do that much?
Keep on keepin' on, as we used to say. You will do better as time goes by*.

Hendrix once chastised Clapton for playing too much lead and not enough rhythm, and Eric took it as a challenge, and grew.

"You check out Guitar George, he knows all the chords
Mind he's strictly rhythm he doesn't wanna make it cry or sing
Yes and an old guitar is all he can afford
When he gets up under the lights to play his thing"

Yes there was, the first song I learned was Yellow Submarine. I hope I get better, but I know for a fact that you do not need speed to be good you need soul.
